Annika is a full Peruvian, rose grey, bred female. Her dam, Alika Rose, was bred to Annika's sire, Winchester Steel, two consecutive years, and this combination has produced solid gray in each case. Annika's grandsires are 4P Silver Bullet and Gunsmoke, a very potent combination for those aspiring to produce solid gray suris.

Both Annika's sire and dam are Reserve Color Champions at Level 5 shows, so Annika is power-loaded with genetics that are highly desirable.

Annika came through with her grey genetics when she delivered her first cria, a grey male, on 11/25/09. Out of our Captain Morgan son, Black Label, he has exceptional conformation, upright stance, and full coverage of his blue/grey fleece, head to toe. And, on 6/28/11 she delivered a male cria (also sired by Black Label) nearly the same color as her, a smokey dark brown/gray/bay black. She's definitely producing the gray genetics.
